It was always a pleasure to actually go and choose the food from the kitchen rather than just a menu. Also, Seaside by Notos, it's always been on my list of places to go to, I just never get that far along the beach road. I'll try and get along to the new place when I'm there next week. Good job I'm going for 2 weeks - so many restaurants, so little time. I haven't been yet but heard it is something similar but with less choices.
The food is very good though, I heard! And Seaside for us is a must.
Not cheap but the food and atmosphere are soooo good and well worth the money! We made the effort to walk to the end of the beach and visit Lava based on its excellent TA reviews but we were disappointed with the experience and probably had the worst meal of all the places we visited in Perissa. The trays of food on display looked very unappetising and not very fresh and we were there on a Monday evening around 7am.

The salad was good but the fish was either overcooked or not fresh as it was dry. Strangely it didn't come with anything else such as potatoes or rice as we would have expected and is the norm in every other Greek taverna we have visited!
Good job we asked for the salad! We had best meals at God's Garden. We just returned and one of our best meals was at Kokkalo! It was amazing and located on the main road in Fira as you head to Firastefani! And here is another tip.. I know many locals who goes to the new Lava and really recommend it.
In traditional Greek taverns, fish is served by itself, not with Rice or potatoes. This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.
